EP 80: The Call of a Lifetime. Stone Sheep Hunt Winner Announced. Today we called the lucky winner of the stone sheep hunt giveaway to inform him of his good fortune. Todd Gilliland of California was the name on the winning ticket. We called Todd, and after a voicemail and a text message, we were able to pass on the good news. Todd will be Stone Sheep hunting this August with one of our Endorsed Outfitters.
EP: 79 Winning Big in Wyoming with Russ Elms. In this episode of The Epic Outdoors Podcast we talk with Russ Elms. Russ had the unbelievable luck of winning the Wyoming Super Tag Trifecta on the same year that he drew a Wyoming Bighorn Sheep tag in the regular draw. This allowed Russ to hunt two Sheep, a Shiras moose, and an elk, all in one incredible season. This is a situation that will likely never happen again.
EP: 78 Hunting Arizona with Jason Carter and Adam Bronson. In this episode of the Epic Outdoors Podcast we talk about applying and hunting in Arizona. Arizona is a state with some of the most coveted tags in the west. With tough draw odds in most trophy units it helps to have a better grasp on how the states system works before you apply. In this episode of the Epic Outdoors Podcast our guest is the Chief Game Warden and Chief of the Wyoming Wildlife Division, Brian Nesvik. In this episode we talk with Brian about the proposed Grizzly Bear hunt in the state of Wyoming for 2018. Brian explains the history of Grizzly Bears and the process of restoration that has led us to our current situation with a very robust population of Grizzly Bears. Brian talks us through the super conservative plan of issuing a few tags in the state to begin a management effort that can include a limited harvest of bears. We encourage everyone to go and submit public comment on the issue after educating yourself on the subject.
